Believe it or not, I have never been to and had the pleasure of enjoying a spa. I’ve had the odd massage here and there, a couple of spray tans and acrylic nails – like the ones they offer at Ellisons – before I jetted off to Bulgaria once but never have I been able to indulge myself for longer than the half an hour it takes to complete a massage. Going to a spa is definitely on my bucket list. It would be the perfect thing to do with my best friend or my mum, maybe for their birthday or for Mother’s Day and would be the epitome of a girlie weekend. But in the meantime, here is what my perfect spa day would include.
Company: As I said, I would love to go to a spa day with either my best friend or my mum. I think a spa could be a really nice place to spend some quality time with someone you’re close to. I don’t see my best friend often, as she lives on the other side of the country but a spa day would be a great place to have the ultimate girly catch-up.
Location: Ideally, I would love the spa experience to take place someone nice- preferably somewhere in the country. I always feel more relaxed in the country and out of the hustle and bustle of where I live, near the city. In order for me to totally relax, a countryside spa retreat would be amazing.
Upon arrival: After travelling to my gorgeous spa retreat in the countryside, I would love to be greeted with a cold drink (I don’t drink alcohol, so maybe a smoothie or a glass of orange juice) and maybe some fruit and given the chance to wander around, get settled in and maybe have a shower before starting my spa treatments.
Treatments: I couldn’t go to a spa and not have a massage. A full back shoulders, neck, head and face massage would put me just right. I would also love a pedicure (my finger nails aren’t long enough for a manicure yet!), a spray tan, some kind of face treatment and maybe an aromatherapy session.
Lunch: I’d love lunch halfway through the treatments and I think I’d opt for something relatively light but yummy and filling. Something with lots of veggies and salad and maybe some fish or chicken with fruit juice and something chocolaty for desert. Yum!
Extras: And of course, I’d love to end the day with a nice swim in the pool!
What would you include in your ultimate dream spa experience? Let me know!

I’ve never been on a spa day but I really want to! I’d love to have afternoon tea there for a lovely girly day!
Oh I had my first afternoon tea a few weeks ago! Not at a spa – just a local bar / cafe but it was so cute and yummy! xx
I had a lush spa day once and it was amazing! It’s the only spa I’ve ever been to and I seriously need it again x
Oooh really?! That sounds brilliant! Imagine the smells 🤤 xx
I hope you get to go one day and experience a spa day! They are so relaxing. I had a great experience for my 18th birthday – went up in the mountains and spent the day at this fancy spa, got a facial and a back massage, it was heavennnn!
Holy crap that sounds INCREDIBLE. What a wonderful 18th you must have had 💚 xx
I’ve never had a spa break before and would love to do it!

Add it to your bucket list, immediately! (: xx
I sure will! Xox
Haha this is great. I have never been to a spa either! I’d love for someone to brush my hair for hours. Sadly that’s not a thing, but it definitely should be. I would pay so much for that! Great post 🙂
That should definitely be a thing. I would 100% pay someone to brush and tickle my hair haha! 😂 xx
A great massage, a lovely lunch, and having great friends with me would be ideal for me! If it was somewhere that could make me feel like I was at the beach that would be great as well! We sound like we’re on the same page for most things. (:

Oh absolutely we do don’t we! The beach sounds BEAUTIFUL. Bali? 🌴💅🏻👙 xx
A good facial and a beautiful swim in a pool or steam will always make me smile.
Think a steamroom would be a bit too hot for me! A hot tub though; perfect!
Spa days are great, lots of good deals on Woucher, Groupon etc so you could have your perfect day and not have to pay through the nose. Over visiting from the #BlogCommentSwap 😀

Go and get one and treat yourself! You deserve it! xx
I absolutely love popping to the spa. It’s only been in the last few years that I’ve felt confident enough to do so but my next step will be a retreat of some sort. I love having a full body massage and aromatherapy session and I usually go with my partner – he loves to have a full massage too as it’s good for relieving stress and healing aching muscles from sports

The woman I see for my massages does a great job at getting all those horrible knots out but it don’t half hurt sometimes, haha! Imagine a whole 3 day long retreat of nothing but relaxation and getting pampered? HEAVEN xx
I always use spas when I go on my summer holiday, I absolutely love them!! I find them so relaxing and therapeutic yet I haven’t been one in the uk in ages! Definitely need a trip to a spa. Your spa experience sounds amazing and I’m very jealous, haha.xx
I’m jealous knowing that I’m NOT going on this spa retreat! 😭 xx
