25 Winter & Christmas blog post ideas

Back in July (goodness me that seems like ages ago now, doesn’t it? Where has this year gone?) I wrote a “25 Autumn blog post ideas” post which went down really well and I really enjoyed writing and brainstorming for. Sooooo… Now we’re in arguably the prettiest and most magical season (Winter, for those who aren’t aware…) I thought I’d do a Winter / Christmas themed post of the same nature!

I hate the heat, so for that reason alone, Winter is a great time of year for me. I’m not a massive Christmas lover although last year and this year I am trying much harder to try an embrace the holiday, instead of acting like Scrooge for the entire thing. I always find I’m more productive around this time of year, too. Autumn / Winter always gets my juices flowing and I find I just thrive in these seasons so much more than summer where you can usually find me curled up in front of a fan with an ice pack on my face. I’ve concocted a list of Winter / Christmas blog post ideas for you to use which I hope you love!

  1. Christmas wish-list
  2. Winter wish-list (I did one of these here)
  3. A story about your favourite Christmas a child
  4. A list of your favourite books set at Christmas
  5. A recipe using oranges, cranberries and cinnamon
  6. DIY: Homemade Christmas decorations
  7. What you bought your partner / parents / kids for Christmas haul
  8. Your New Years resolutions
  9. 5 places you want to visit this Winter
  10. Reasons why you love Christmas / Winter
  11. Your favourite Christmas films
  12. Your dream Winter home aesthetic
  13. Winter bucket list
  14. 10 things you’re grateful for this year
  15. Christmas Day make-up look
  16. Your favourite Christmas food
  17. 2018 bucket list
  18. Favourite clothing items to wear in Winter
  19. Christmas money saving tips
  20. A photo documented blog post of a Wintery day out
  21. Your Winter to-be read list
  22. What you would buy your family for Christmas if you won the lottery
  23. Your favourite Christmas dessert recipe
  24. Things to do when it’s too cold to go outside
  25. What I got for Christmas haul

If you use any of these posts, do let me know and link your post below as I would love to see it! Are you a Winter / Christmas lover? Got any of your own Winter or Christmassy themed blog posts planned? Let me know!

  1. This is a great list, Jenny, some really fab ideas in here. I’ve written a couple of guest Blogmas posts for other bloggers, and I rather wish I’d seen your post beforehand now, haha! I particularly like no. 6, the DIY decorations. Flora and I made some last year with jam tart cases – I’ve been saving some cases this year so we can do it again, I’ll have to remember to take some pictures this time though πŸ™‚ X

  4. I love these ideas, I’ll definitely be trying to work a few of these into my blog schedule. It’s my first Christmas blogging so I’m excited to get writing some festive content!

  5. Bookmarking this! I really need inspiration at the moment. Apart from my Christmas gift guide which I’m due to post mid November I’m really lacking in inspiration right now.

  6. This is such a useful post. I’ve book-marked it for some ideas for December. I’m planning on doing a 12 Days of Christmas themed post.

  7. Babe what perfect timing I was thinking last night about doing blogmas!! Not sure I would be able to though with working and studying another beauty course πŸ™ˆπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Xxxxxxx

  8. This is such a useful post especially since I’m hoping to do Blogmas also! Thanks for sharing x

  9. There’s absolutely no shame in not being the biggest lover of Christmas, Jenny! With all the build up, it can feel very anticlimactic at times! Your list of wintry blog post ideas is a great one though, I’ve bookmarked it to return to when I’m in need of inspiration!

    • Awh thank you! I totally get that. I often find the build up is 10x more exciting than the day itself. I don’t like Christmas Day at all really, it makes me sad and as I don’t have any siblings or close family that all gets together it can get a bit lonely too. I’m trying to embrace it more this year! xxx

  10. So many good ideas, I really want to post more at Christmas this year but I did so well last year and have no idea, this will be so handy! xox
