AD – This post contains gifted products but all thoughts are my own

Earlier this month, I shared that I’m finally get my own home office this year! One of the most exciting parts of this for me (aside from actually having a desk and no distractions!) is that I get to decorate it entirely how I like it. Aside from my bedroom, I’ve never decorated a room before exactly to my taste. And as my boyfriend lives with me, it’s technically his room too, so there’s a lot of his stuff around now too.

But my office is MINE. All mine. And yes, I do feel a bit protective and possessive of it. Like Gollum with the ring. So everything is going to be to my taste; from the colour, to the decor, to the desk, to the prints on the walls – everything!

I’m a huge lover of prints and posters. I love how you can completely represent yourself by what you have on your wall. You can also entirely transform the feel of a room with them. So I’m going to be very picky about what prints I’ll be putting on my office wall.

I want prints that are bright but also that stick in with the general colour scheme, which is mostly going to be pink and green. I want prints that make me feel relaxed or happy, nothing too dark and moody. Photowall kindly gifted me a print from their website, which I’m so excited to get up in my office when it’s built!

Who are Photowall?

Photowall are a company founded by two brothers; Niklas and Charlie Johansson. They realised that the personalised wall art on the market was pretty limited, so with their technical and design backgrounds, decided to try it themselves. They started by printing wallpaper digitally and in 2006, when they bought their first digital printing press, Photowall was born!

Photowall are a Swedish brand full of passionate people who believe in quality products, creative designs and a diverse selection of products. It now has it’s own factory and offices in Skarpnäck. Photowall believe, like I do, that the walls of a room can affect how you feel. And their mission?

Help people fill their walls with great art.

The ethos of Photowall fits in so perfectly with my own thoughts and feeling about art, design and decor. So I’m really thrilled to be working with them today. So, onto my print! I was offered a choice of product from their site, which contains SO MUCH CHOICE. I really was browsing for well over an hour and finally settled on one of their Framed Prints.

I’d narrowed it down to a few different prints, all fitting in with the theme and style that I wanted for my office. But I finally settled on this one for a few reasons:

  1. It’s pink – yes, I am that girl
  2. It made me feel relaxed – a warm Summer day under a palm tree? Yes please!

And I know that it’ll really brighten up the space of my office when it’s in there. It’s a very large print, so it’ll obvious be the “main attraction” so to speak, as I plan to have various other prints on my wall too but they’re all much smaller than this.

I love the options you get when choosing your print. Not only do you have so much choice on what to pick; canvases, prints or posters, you can also choose the size, the border and the frame. I went for a border with a neutral colour frame, as I wanted to stick with the Summery vibe.

The print came really well packaged too, which is obviously crucial when you’re dealing with a frame as well.

I’m absolutely in love with my print. I’m so happy with my choice but I have no doubt that no matter what I’d have chosen, it would have looked beautiful. The quality of the print and the frame is really high and I can’t wait to get it up on my wall!

Photowall have offered a 25% discount to my readers, just use code “marstondiscount2020” at the checkout!

What do you think of my choice? Would you have chosen something similar? What’s your take on wall art and how it can influence how you feel when you walk into a room?

  2. Such a gorgeous print! I’ll be in the market for some lovely new wall art when I eventually move house so I will certainly have to bear Photowall in mind! Thanks for sharing x

  3. Ahh lucky you to get your own home office. My art wall would be covered in home made creations, some made by me and others sent to me by crafting friends. Then I would also want a photo wall of friends and family; black and white photos in an eclectic mix of frames, but all the frames painted the same colour. Just a dream for me at the moment though.
