AD – This is a paid advertorial but all thoughts are my own

Believe it or not, I’ve never been to Scotland. I love staycations in the UK and have travelled to the Lake District, the Norfolk Broads, Cornwall, Devon, Snowdonia and Lincolnshire to name a few. But I haven’t yet made the journey up to Scotland but it’s very much something I’d love to do soon.

For this location based dating post, we’re heading to Tayside and I’ve found 6 amazing sounding date ideas which would be perfect for couples after my research. I know these are the sort of places I’d absolutely love to visit should I ever make it to Scotland and would be great place to visit with my partner, too.

In case you’ve missed any of my previous location based dating posts, you can find them below. Hopefully I’ve covered your area among these!

If you’re ready to get back into the world of dating and you’re in the Hampshire area, this Tayside dating site is perfect for you if you want to start locally Tayside Dating. If you’re looking for fun date ideas, then these suggestions are perfect if you either live in Hampshire or are able to travel a couple of hours to reach them!

But let’s head to Tayside now to look at 6 date ideas for you and your boo!

Cairn o’Mhor, Errol

Fancy a drink? What better way to spend a day and a date in a winery. With a tour of the winery, a café and even a ghost tour to boot, what else would you want? You can also grab a couple of bottles from the winery to take home, the perfect end to a wonderful date, in my opinion!

Escape Rooms, Balgray Works

Something a little different now but some couples like a thrill and I’ve recently watch the 2 Escape Room films so providing they’re not sinister and life-threatening escape rooms, then this would definitely be a fun and interesting date idea which could potentially tell you a LOT about your partner or date! So watch out…

Rings of Breadalbane, Perthshire

Fancy something a bit more active, like a hike or a bike ride? The Rings of Breadalbane are a great choice. The Rings include a ton of villages, such as Killin, St Fillans and Aberfeldy. You can stop off for tea or refreshments along the way and see the sights as you go to make for a pretty lovely day out. In Summer, this would be perfect!

Mills Observatory, Dundee

Mill’s was Britain’s first purpose-built observatory and is just 15 minutes from Dundee City Center. The observatory allows you to watch the stars and planets through their Victorian refracting telescope, can you think of anything more romantic than spending your date under the stars? For any space lovers, this would be an excellent one for you, too!

Drummond Castle Gardens, Pitlochry

Although the castle itself isn’t open to the public, the beautiful gardens well make up for it as you could easily spend an afternoon wandering around hand in hand and taking in the beautiful scenery, smells and flowers. Perhaps paired with lunch or an afternoon tea afterwards!

RSS Discovery

If you fancy adding a bit of history to your date, then heading to the RSS Discovery might be a great option for you. The story of Scott of the Antarctic’s ill-fated trip is brought to life through the RSS Discovery and is generally a fascinating, educational and fun day out.

Have you been to any of these places in Tayside? What did you think? Let me know!

  1. I was in Scotland many years ago when I was a student in college. I loved Scotland! I thought that I had never seen a place so green, so beautiful! 🙂
