I’ve definitely added a lot of new places to my “to-go” list, which I hope I can get around to soon!

So, Merseyside. Situated in the Northwestern part of England, It’s home to the city of Liverpool and is situated on both banks of the lower reaches of the River Mersey. From heritage museums to country parks, there’s a lot to see and do in Merseyside, including a ton of great date locations. Whether you live in the area or you’re visiting from afar – you’ll find something for you!

I’ve been doing a lot of these location based dating posts recently, so in case you’ve missed any, here are my most recent 3!

If you’re looking for fun date ideas, then these suggestions are perfect if you either live in Merseyside or are able to travel a couple of hours to reach them! Get started on your dating journey with this Merseyside dating site today!

Beatles Magical Mystery Tour

If you and your date are fans of The Beatles, then the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour is an absolute must-do. A great date idea to help you bond and talk about something you both love! Spend time delving into the history of one of the most famous bands ever to exist.

Explore Liverpool’s waterfront

With vibrant restaurants and bars, heritage attractions, museums and more, Liverpool’s waterfront could be a fantastic place to spend the day with your date. Have a romantic sunset ride in the Wheel of Liverpool followed by dinner at a trendy restaurant – perfect!

Model Railway Village

Probably a bit of a niche choice for a date idea but I chose this for this list because I know this is something my boyfriend and I would want to see! A trip to the model railway village followed by an afternoon tea or lunch could make for a super cute date afternoon!

Southport Pleasureland

I think there’s something similar to Pleasureland on most seafronts around the country but honestly… they make a great place for a date! If you’re after something a bit more light-hearted and fun, then a trip to the amusement park is always a winner!

The Atkinson

The Atkinson is the perfect choice for anyone who wants a bit of culture in their date. The building alone is beautiful and inside will be a range of comedy, music, theatre and their permanent Discover Ancient Egypt exhibition, which sounds fascinating!

Knowsley Safari

And finally, Knowsley Safari Park. Because as you know by now, I have a zoo or safari park type attraction on every single one of these lists. There are a ton scattered around the country, so if you’re an animal lover like me, you can find one which is close by for your date!

Have you been to any of these places in Merseyside? Let me know in the comments!

  1. These are some great ideas! I have a friend who lives in Liverpool who I’m hoping to visit sometime in the near future. They seem like great ideas for a friend date too 👌🏼

  2. I’ve only been to Liverpool once and that was on a business trip so certainly didn’t bring in fun ideas, aha! I’d love to have the chance to explore it properly though – great suggestions here.
