I think for most of us, September marks the start of Autumn. Although it doesn’t “officially” start until over halfway through the month, I feel like the 1st September is a perfect time to draw a line under the first two thirds on the year and look to the months ahead. Because let’s face it, the Autumn months and December are the best, aren’t they?

So September is kinda that in-between month, where it’s not quite Summer anymore but not yet Autumn. It’s usually warm enough to not need a coat but too cold for shorts and t-shirts. The leaves have just started their turn and children are back to school. There’s a different feel in the air when September inevitably rolls around.

I love the final four months of the year and I’ll be fully embracing them any way I can this year in particularly because let’s be honest, we’ve not really had a Summer this year, have we? So hopefully we’ll all have an utterly beautiful Autumn, Winter and Christmas to make up for it!

So as we’ve just entered the in-between month, I’ve created a little list of bucket list items for you to tick off for September. I love seasonal bucket lists because they really help to remind me of the cute things that you can do throughout the month that really fits in with the season that you’re in. Which is what I tried to do here. So enjoy, here’s your September bucket list!

Go for a walk in nature

Go to a farmers market to buy seasonal produce

Add some new pieces to your Autumn wardrobe

As the seasons change, so does our clothes. But even if there’s still the odd warm day in September (I remember a few years back it was 26 degrees on my birthday on the 4th!) it’s still worth going through that transition period. It’s the UK, it’ll be freezing before you know it!

I have a few new pieces from Femme Luxe to add to my Autumn / September wardrobe which I think are great additions. They’re all very different from each other and will definitely be used for vastly different things. Now is definitely the time to start looking at adding some black dresses to your wardrobe, ready for party season in December, as well as some cute denim shorts to pair with tights for Autumn!

Femme Luxe

The first piece I picked was this cute Blue Floral Bardot Long Puff Sleeve Ruched Tie Detail Crop Top. I feel like this will very much be on the cusp between Summer and Autumn but it does provide some coverage on your arms, as it’s long sleeved, which helps take the Autumn chill away.

I absolutely love this top. I didn’t think it would suit me but I was willing to give it a go and I’m really glad I did because I know this will be a feature in my wardrobe for a long time! It’s super comfy and the material is lovely.

Next was this Grey Ribbed Strappy Crop Top & High Waisted Bodycon Mini Skirt Co-Ord. I picked this in a size 12 which in the past has usually been too small for me from Femme Luxe but this set fit perfectly as it’s lovely and stretchy. The material is super soft and it’s a really comfortable two piece.

I’m a big fan of grey and feel like grey is a very Autumnal colour, so this could certainly be paired up with tights and boots and a super cozy mustard coloured jumper!

And finally, the Mustard Belted One Shoulder Jump Suit. Mustard is a very Autumnal colour. Paired with heels and a black jacket, this would be a great Autumn party piece that will keep you relatively warm as well. They do do this playsuit in other colours, including emerald and red as well – which would be great for Christmas.

I will admit, this jumpsuit is a little bright for me. I love the fit and the tie detail around the middle. I’ve never worn anything one shoulder before either so that’ll take a little getting used to. It’s a very comfortable jumpsuit though so maybe it’ll just require me stepping outside of my comfort zone a little to wear this!

  1. I’m the same way – I plan Christmas / buy gifts during the fall. Makes it feel less stressful. Love all these activities. I plan to get outdoors more often and I love the idea of going to a farmers market. Happy fall!

  2. I know it sounds weird but I cannot WAIT to start putting my Autumn wardrobe together. We’ll be back in the office two days from October and I am already planning what to wear!

  3. I love these ideas. September for me always marks the start of Christmas planning. I’ve usually bought one or two presents at the stage too so I like to have a little time to think of gifts for people. I’ll definitely be making an apple crumble this month too. The jumpsuit really suits you!

  4. I love the top, it’s super cute! And the romper. I had my colours and style done years ago and the lady said the unsymetrical necklines suited me so I bought an off the shoulder dress and still love it!
Great bucket list ideas for September too!

  8. Love a bucket list! First of all you look gorgeous in all the outfits, but the jumpsuit and the ribbed grey one are bomb! I loved going shopping for back to school, so I might treat myself to that! I really want to visit a farm and maybe apple or pumpkin pick, it would be an amazing start to autumn! x

  9. I love that orange jumpsuit and that blue, floral top on you! You’re stunning. These are excellent bucket list ideas for September and I can’t wait to give them a go.
