I recently turned 26 and I freaked out about it a little bit (if you’d like to read the entire rambly freak-out post, please feel free). I hate getting older, I hate the reminders of all the things I have yet to achieve and all the things I wish I’d already done but either never got around too or was too chicken shit to actually do them. In general, my birthday and the period around my birthday is a time of reflection for me – but it never normally ends with wonderful revelations, just with me crying into a slice of birthday cake. But an opportunity arose shortly after which after a bit of brainstorming, gave me the idea of this post.
Last month, I really enjoyed working on more Disney related posts such as What Disney Means to Me and My Favourite Disney Items. Disney has always been a huge part of my life ever since I was little, I have a Disney category on my blog but I rarely post anything in it so I’ve worked hard on turning that around and going forward, I would love to feature Disney related posts much more regularly. Disneyland Paris holds a very special place in my heart. It was my first holiday ever when I was 5 and I’ve been twice since then. I’m dying to go back which I have faith that I will do soon but for now, I’m talking about my favourite Disneyland Paris attractions!
* Apologies for the slightly dreadful quality images in this post. These were all taken on an old camera back in 2011.
I’m most certainly not a travel blogger: I don’t go on nowhere near enough holidays or trips for that to be a reality unfortunately. As much as I wish I could book a dozen small getaways a year, that’s not realistic for me… And probably for a lot of other people too. However, over the last few months I have thoroughly enjoyed talking about holiday type things a bit more. I recently wrote a post about what holidays mean to me and I have a post coming up next month about my favourite Disneyland Paris attractions. These are a nice addition to my blog, I absolutely love writing them and it’s always lovely to look back on wonderful holidays you’ve taken. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do today! I’m dipping my toes in the nostalgia pond today and talking about some of my favourite holidays; both near and far.
Also, apologies for the quality of some of these photos. Some were taken way before a decent camera ever entered my hand!
I recently blogged about what Disney means to me and that was a post I really enjoyed writing. Disney is a huge part of my life, my self and my childhood so I would like to blog about it more. I’m not a collector of Disney merch. In fact, I’m not a collector of anything because I hate hoarding stuff and literally throw everything away at the first chance I get. However, I do have some treasured Disney items at home that I absolutely love and that mean a lot to me. I might not have four thousand Tsum Tsum’s or all the movies on DVD but in no particular order, here are 5 of my favourite Disney items I own!

A little while ago, I ran a poll on Twitter asking what kind of posts you’d like to see more of from me. I’m sure most of the people who voted just voted on the general kind of blog posts they like reading from anyone – not me specifically (I don’t think I’m that special) but still, I like to take on board what people enjoy reading and try and cater to that. One of the most popular options was Disney. Which surprised me a little bit. I know there’s a humongous Disney community on Twitter but there’s also a humongous amount of people who aren’t that bothered about Disney or who like it but wouldn’t necessarily go out of their way to read Disney related blog posts.
I’m not a huge traveler in the sense that you probably won’t ever find me backpacking around Thailand or moving to Australia for a year. Firstly, those places are far too hot for my delicate ginger complexion but mostly, it’s just not my sort of thing. I love a holiday – as most of us do – but lengthy travel isn’t for me. However, lately, I’ve discovered that there are plenty of places I would absolutely love to visit. In an ideal world, if I were to win a hefty amount on the lottery, I’d certainly be booking some holidays and short breaks to the places in this list. But in the meantime, I can just dream. Here’s my 2018 travel bucket list (or where I’d go if I won the lottery!)
I love every aspect of a Disneyland Paris holiday: from the journey on the Eurostar, the hotel, the parades and the character meets. But the rides and attractions also play a huge part of the holiday for me. I’m not a lover of big, big rides so Disneyland is ideal for me because most of the rides aren’t too scary but some are just enough to give you a thrill! I’ve spent many an hour queuing for all the rides at Disneyland Paris so here are some of my favourites.
