YouTuber’s I’m loving right now

I think the wonderful thing about YouTube is that there’s always someone new to discover and there’s always someone to watch to cater to your needs and interests at any particular point in time. I’m always fascinated by how our tastes change and the same goes for YouTube as well. Last year, I wrote a post about my favourite YouTuber’s and whilst I still do watch a few of those, the vast majority, I actually don’t. They were my favourites at the time but I just can’t relate to them anymore and that’s okay. So I wanted to do an updated post and share with you the YouTuber’s I’m enjoying at the moment!

April goals: My last public monthly goals

Wowzers… April. April. APRIL. Just when we couldn’t believe that it was 2018 already, here we are, 4 months into the year already. I hope you all had a great March, did lots of cool stuff and had a lot of fun. March for me was pretty damn good; I visited my boyfriend’s family in Lincolnshire, went away for the weekend to the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire and saw the start of the new Formula 1 season. So all in all, a good month. I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed doing smaller, more achievable monthly goals this year so far. It’s really worked for me, it’s helping me focus and also helping me be more specific about my goals. However, this will be my last public goals list I’ll be posting on my blog – just because I don’t want it to get too samey and don’t want y’all to get bored! I’ll still be noting down my goals privately for the rest of the year (hopefully!) Here’s what I’d like to achieve in April…

March goals: How did I do?

I can’t believe we’re at the business end of March already. I hope this month has been good to you and you’ve achieved some cool stuff! I’m looking back over my March goals today to see how I did and I can safely say I did much better than I did in February, so that’s a bonus!

Things I’ve learnt this year so far: Quarterly reflections

As years go, 2018 hasn’t been too bad so far. I personally don’t feel like it’s gone as quick as the beginning of 2017 felt (like honestly, were there 12 days in 2017 or something?) but similarly, it’s not dragging. Despite the fact that apparently January felt like it went on forever (I genuinely didn’t feel like it did and I’m starting to wonder whether some were just jumping on the ’78th of January’ bandwagon by the end of it but hey ho!). 3 months into the year and it’s already had it’s ups and downs. In 3 short months, I feel like I’ve learnt quite a bit already so I think this is a good place to stick my metaphorical book mark and reflect over the year so far.

March goals

Alright, alright, alright how are we doing? It’s March already. March. March. However, we’ll be stepping into Spring very soon, the flowers will be blooming (will they? With all this snow?) and it’s almost Easter. Which means it’s almost time to send myself into a chocolate coma. My favourite time of year! In all honesty, I do love this time of year. I’m not a fan of Summer but I do like being able to spend some time reading in my garden and smelling the Spring air without it being too blisteringly hot. I always find I’m really productive at this time of year as well. Maybe it’s something about Spring being a new season, a new start that ignites that motivation in me. So let’s see what I’m hoping to achieve this month!

February goals: How did I do?

My, my, my. February is over alreaaaaady. I can straight up say that February was a much better month for me than January was. I went to the zoo, visited my boyfriend’s family in Lincolnshire for the week, got excited about all the Formula 1 shenanigans like the car launches and the beginning of testing (although it’s a mighty shame I wasn’t in Barcelona but hey ho!) and blogged to my hearts content. But how did I do on my goals? Let’s find out!

February goals

I really really enjoyed writing and working on my January goals last month. I found that setting myself small and realistic goals worked absolute wonders. No huge resolutions over here in 2018, no sir-ee! So I wanted to continue the momentum into February and start the month with my February goals list! Again, these are all fairy small and doable – you won’t find any “jump out of a plane” on here!

January goals: How did I do?

We couldn’t believe that 2017 had been and gone and here we are already, at the end of January. Can you Adam and Eve it? I really do hope that you have had a positive start to the New Year, made some positive changes, done some fun things and are enthusiastic for the rest of the year ahead. I love January – even the cold weather, if you know me at all you’ll already know that I adore the cold! I love stepping into a New Year with the “anything can happen, it’s a brand new start” mindset and although that’s totally cliché and you certainly don’t need a new year in order to make changes in your life, for me, it helps and I always feel inspired and positive at this time of the year. So… Let’s see how well I put that into practice and how I did with my January goals!

Tips to improve your daily page views

January has been one of my best months for page views (so far… I’m writing this on the 10th and I’m already more or less half way to what I received in all of December, so going by those statistics, I’m going to conclude that January will be my best month for page views, if I keep up what I’m doing. I’ll check back on the 31st and see if I was right – hopefully I am! If not, well don’t I look like a tit) – why is it my best month for page views? Well, firstly, I think my content is just better in general. So that always helps but also, I’m working really bloody hard to ensure that is the case. I’m going above and beyond what I usually do with my blog, experimenting with new techniques etc in order to find out if and what gains me more views.

Things you can do to help & encourage new bloggers

I’m truly tired of seeing bloggers who have been blogging for a considerable about of time with a considerable following trying to “keep their secrets“. Hun, you ain’t Dynamo. Bloggers who refuse to disclose how they get opportunities, what they’ve done to work with brands and those who straight up don’t reply to other bloggers on social media – not through being busy or having a bad day (I totally understand how overwhelming social media can be some days) – solely because they’re a “bigger blogger“. Huh? When did this strange, “there’s no room for all bloggers” mentality come into practice and how can we get TF rid of it?
